I hope this current mind-setting stays forever. Sometimes, I get so whiny and fail to look how good things are for me... In one of my rare mornings, I woke up feeling giddy, happy, fulfilled and very blessed. Every where I turn, I see goodness and blessings. I don't know what happened to me but I have a feeling that God maybe in my sleep, showered me with this mind-setting. This blog originally started to air out my rants but this time, I think this blog will start to inspire everyone who reads this to lead a good life. Life for me is pretty damn so good! TGIF!!!

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)Sun-Shiny day.
I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin?

I do not know why on earth she sent me this link because it specifically offers a variety of training and education on Lean Six Sigma and Six Sigma Blackbelt business process improvement systems. For one thing, I do not have any business. But when I look into the site, I realized it was worth sharing so I am sharing it with everyone. Check it out.

Designer of Pringles Buried in Crisp Carton: Dr Fredric J. Baur, who was 89, had told his family to ensure his final resting place was the inside of one of his most famous creations.
They honoured his request by having his ashes buried in a Pringles tube – and a more conventional urn for the overflow – at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dr Baur, who was a retired chemist and food storage technician at Pringles owners Procter and Gamble, patented the design for the saddle-shaped crisp’s vertical container in 1970. His daughter Linda told the Cincinnati Enquirer that the packaging was his “proudest accomplishment.” He also invented several other products, including a freeze-dried ice cream, which didn’t enjoy as much success. His son Lawrence Baur told the Enquirer: “Basically, what you did, you added milk to it, put it in the freezer and you had ice cream. That was another one he was proud of but just never went anywhere.”

bills are coming
0 comments Published Tuesday, May 20, 2008 by MIND BUBBLES in bubbly life out there, household bubbles, other than bubblesAs soon as we move, we are to be faced by a gazilliong of bills on top of my husband's paycheques. Seriously, this will be our moment of truth here in the land of milk and honey. For some reasons, we were spoilt in his Aunt and Uncle's home, we were never responsible for any bills save for our cellphones. Now, that we are facing a serious kind of budgeting, hubby wants me to be aware of every single penny we spend as well as some investments and finance rates such as CD rates, best rates on checking accounts, savings accounts, and certificate of deposit (CD) accounts from banks and credit unions across the United States. He wanted to make sure that we are investing and saving on the right financial institution. Luckily, I am well-versed in internet and I immediately found out about: eMoneyCentral.com where they list checking accounts that earn up to 6.00% annual percentage yield (apy) and online savings accounts that earn up to 4.00% annual percentage yield. Also, it tracks all the rates for your savings account and certificate of deposit. The only thing I need to learn is how to interpret those numbers but otherwise, I'm all good and excited with the big budgetting task ahead of me.
world's most promising people
0 comments Published Tuesday, May 13, 2008 by MIND BUBBLES in bubbly life out there, other than bubblesDo you know the big difference between being a Nouveau Riche (new rich) or the old riches? Old rich are people who are rich because of family inheritance and Nouveau Riche or new rich are people who got rich because of their own hardwork and rigid investments to be one. As I was doing my business report last weekend, I chanced upon this article from CNN money. The article talks about how it is to conquer the world of the Nouveau Riche. It also covers the most promising new ventures for determined American entrepreneurs and all those who wants to be rich by investing in businesses. This article talks about people who are now Nouveau Riche, how they get there and what are all their entrepreneurial ideas. They are people we can look up to because most of them came from a lower socioeconomic rank, and that such wealth has provided the means for the acquisition of goods or luxuries that were previously unobtainable.
Read the rest of the article and understand what I am talking about. If you want to expand the horizon of the opportunities of your business ventures it is wise to get ideas from the experienced and successful nouveau riche.
tools for my mind bubbles
2 comments Published Tuesday, May 6, 2008 by MIND BUBBLES in blogging bubbles, blogging school bubbles, bubble suds, bubbly life out thereSo far, I still have 10 tasks to accomplish, 14 chapters of book to read and 2 midterms exam to take before Thursday. I have been having a hardtime managing my time lately which makes me bump into my favorite site: http://ehow.com/. I was so good with time management before but I don't seem to know what is happening to me lately. Probably because, I have more activities than the available 24 hours per day. I always wish for many hands and 24 more hours a day but I know that is impossible. So here are the tips I snagged from ehow.com: (#8 is very applicable to me.) Hope this helps everyone who is struggling with time management.
Things You’ll Need:
Address Books
Palm Handheld Organizers
Wall Calendars
Personal Organizers
Schedule Management Software
Step1Create a schedule or to-do list. Write down deadlines for accomplishing certain tasks.
Step2Plan to tackle difficult projects at the times of day when you are most alert.
Step3Schedule time for people, including yourself. Create some personal time by waking up half an hour earlier or going to bed half an hour later than usual; plan a weekly date with your spouse, or arrange to have lunch with friends.
Step4Prioritize what you need to accomplish. "Pareto's principle" states that 80 percent of your accomplishments come from 20 percent of your efforts, so think strategically: Locate and isolate this valuable 20 percent, then focus your efforts on the tasks that promise the greatest rewards.
Step5Delegate as many chores as you can. Hand out projects to subordinates at work, recruit your children to help with household chores, hire a gardener to maintain your lawn.
Step6Learn to say no to nonessential demands on your time. Don't volunteer for a committee if you don't have time, and decline invitations to events you don't have time to attend.
Step8Avoid perfectionism. Don't waste time obsessively perfecting a task when you could better spend the time on something else.

Despite my loads of school assignment, endless apartment hunt and non-stop housechores. I am getting lazier and lazier each day. Maybe because, I am trying to evade from all of these responsibilities. I am still undone with the adjustment phase of this migrating stuff. I am fighting it hard or else I will snap and easily give up. I miss everyone back home especially my mom and my nanny. I MISS THE PHILIPPINE CONVENIENCE. They have everything from A-Z. I love the quality of life my country has to offer. Having a toddler who is bursting with energy is a challenge, a daily challenge. He is throwing tantrums here and there. Maybe he's getting bored with me and our routine, likewise I am. I can't blame the kiddo, I too am getting bored. We need some more social interaction, more than what we can get from my in-laws who are nothing but busy people. We are scheduled to have an RnR today and we have a long list in store for the day. I am really looking forward to this day, it is also an advance birthday celebration for my son's 3rd birthday on Thursday. We are going to eat at my son's favorite resto in the whole America LOL! And of course, shopping is also part of our itinerary. But you know what? It would be really lovely to watch some new concerts or show, my cousins always purchase their tickets from T in the Park Tickets. T in the Park Tickets is an online ticket exchange where you can buy and sell live event tickets in a safe and guaranteed way. They say you could find anything and everything that you need in every shows, games, concerts, tickets what-have yous. And if you have advanced tickets that you purchase and is not going to make it, you can sell them at T in the Park Tickets and T in the Park Tickets will take care of it. They cover all shows from U.S. to U.K. to almost any events. I told hubby that once we get all settled, we deserve a big break and spend some quality time in Europe, just us 2. We will have to leave our son with my in-laws or my brother with my mom in California. That would be a really nice big break for us. More than me, it is my husband who needs to rest from his busy schedule and stressful life. I just hope it would be soon like 3 years from now at the maximum.

While studying in between blogging and checking on some emails, hubby has to stopped me with a very sad news. Apparently, one of our friends is checking on some rehabs facilities in town. He admitted that he has succumbed into drugs after his wife filed the divorce. But, this addiction has gotten worst and he is asking for our support in this time. I am both sad and proud for him, sad because he has to undergo this ordeal and proud because he realized early on that he needs help. This entry is for you, you'd always find a friend in us no matter what.

One of my fetishes includes beautiful hands. I have the worst working hands ever. Other than the fact that I do housechores ever since I was young (even with 2 househelps, my mom trained us to do things on our own), I think I overworked my hands. I loved to do a lot of things with the use of my pungy hands and I started going to a nail spa as early as 8 years old! So now my hands look damaged, pungy, dry, rough and very heavy! Do you know of any surgeries that repair hands? And kids never go to a nail spa when you don't even have enough cuticles yet!

I know now why I am feeling so sluggish. It has been my 4th day of no full bath. No no! Before anyone of you react, listen to my piece ayee! Our bathroom tub has been leaking to the 1st floor powder room, we have been told not to use the shower in our bathroom or else the 1st floor powder room will be flooded with our soaps and suds yay! They told us to use the master's bedroom bathroom but I hesitate to use it, I only want my own bathroom! It wouldn't hurt to have some bathless days from where I came from as the weather is still a little bit Winter-Y despite the start of Spring. I really hope our bathroom will be fixed up soon, but for now I guess I have no choice but have a little bubbles in the other bathroom or else I might dry up too much and be bubbleless.

I am so sad about certain news on my female teenager cousin. She has been leading the wrong path or probably even the worst. I hate what I am feeling right now, I know I should understand her but I just can't at this time. I am so angry at her to understand where she is coming from. My Aunt (her mom) has been calling me non-stop and I just don't know what to advise her nymore. This cousin of mine is so into boys, at 14 she had started indulging in premarital sex. Her mom has been scolding her about her attitude and her being so physical with boys but she has not been listening to any of our qualms etc... Two weeks ago, I received a phonecall that she took her life by taking so many bottles of cough suppresant medicine tsk tsk. Fortunately, she survived but she almost killed my Aunt from worry and anxiety. After some few days of her recovery, I checked her MySpace and guess what? She has been laughing about the incident, she wasn't even thankful that her Mom tried to save her life. Sigh sigh.
Tell me, how do we handle this kind of teenager?

My and Hubby's favorite Bukas Palad Ministry song:
A PILGRIM's THEMETired of weaving dreams too loose for me to wear
Tired of watching clouds repeat their dance on air
Tired of getting tired of doing what's required
Is life a mere routine in the greater scheme of things
Through with taking roads someone else designed
Through with chasing stars that soon forget to shine
Through with going through one more day - what's new
Does my life still mean a thing in the greater scheme of things
REFRAIN 1:
I think I'll follow the voice that calls within
Dance to the silent song it sings
I hope to find my place
So my life can fall in place
I know in time I'll find my place
In the greater scheme of things
Each must go his way, but how can I decide
Which path I should take, who will be my guide
I need some kind of star to lead me somewhere far
To find a higher dream in the greater scheme of things
The road before me bends, I don't know what I'll find
Will I meet a friend or ghosts I left behind
Should I even be surprised that You're with me in disguise
For it's Your hand I have seen in the greater scheme of things (REFRAIN 1)
BRIDGE:
For Yours is the voice in my deepest dreams
You are the heart, the very heart
Of the greater scheme of things (REFRAIN 1)
REFRAIN 2:
Why don't we follow the voice that calls within
Dance to the silent song it sings
One day we'll find our place
For all things fall in place
For all things have a place
In the greater scheme of things
bubble, keep it still

I am no book worm. It is only now that I am catching up on my readings. I regret those younger years when I shy away from books my mom was asking me to read. Now, my vocab are so limited. I am trying so bad to be a bookworm now, catching up with lost book times but I guess it's too late. No matter how many books I buy, I lack the time. I am hoping my son will not inherit this trait from me so as early as his toddler years, I am introducing him to books, lots of them. I guess he has the making of a bookworm. He adores Dr. Seuss'!!!
