online travel agent

I miss chatting with my friends online. For the past 3 weeks, I haven't been logging on or sometimes my status is invisible. I've been really busy lately. Then I logged on today just to catch up with what they were doing. I was happy to know that a friend went to Fiji, her dream travel destination. She had this very great travel deal which she got from online travel agent through TravelStore, Inc.. This site brings travelers TravelStoreUSA.com and Cruiselocators.com, websites that allow vacationers to book luxury vacations to destinations around the world. I am just excited to see her photos.

museum hunt.

I'm feeling good today and one of the reasons for this is the very endearing email a friend sent me. We both love Metropolitan museum of art in every city and states we visit. Like my husband, the museums are the 1st thing I check in a travel destination. My friend sent me this lengthy email attached with lotsa photos that include travel tips and information on things to do in Boston and things to do in Chicago, the 2 cities she recently visited. As I was reading her email, I was delighted to see that she also signed up in the newsletter of trustedtours.com which I used when I was researching on things to do in San Francisco. I tell you, these online travel guides truly helped me in my San Francisco vacation last year. Trusted Tours and Attractions offers discounted tickets to the best sightseeing tours in 23 cities across America. So, if you are planning your vacation anywhere in the United States, visit their site, especially now that they have a promo. Just sign up for the Trusted Travels eNewsletter and enter to win a handheld GPS Offer ends June 30th, 2008. Who knows you might win that much needed GPS?

Hotels around the World

For me, the best part of vacationing and travelling is staying and being able to relax in nice hotels, it is a bonus if these hotels come out to be one of the Cheap Hotels in very posh cities such as Hotels Paris and Hotels Sydney.

Whenever I book for family vacations, I don't usually just check on the cheapest airfares but also on Cheap Hotels that come with the travel packages. A travel agent once told me that the key to a succesful travel is proper planning and spending your budget wisely with cheap airfares and cheap hotels that offer equal accommodations as the more expensive ones. As for me, I am only looking for cleaner hotel rooms with good full breakfast and very clean bathrooms when choosing accommodations. What about you? What are your standards?

Thailand will always be a memorable country for me. This is where Hubby and I had our honeymoon and this is the 1st ever out of country trip with my whole family. One thing I like about Thailand is their similarity with my home country, Philippines but with better system and cleanliness is found everywhere. Also, Cheap Thailand Hotels are not so bad after all. And how can I forget Thai's exotic dishes that I have been craving for such a long time now read: tom yum!
Asia, in general is a nice continent to explore. Cultures in the different Asian countries were preserved and a traveller would definitely love to rediscover Asian spectacular places such as Kuala Lumpur. A trip to Singapore is definitely in my plan and swinging by KL is part of my Singapore itinerary. They say Kuala Lumpur offers accommodations similar to Philippines Accommodation. How lovely! Even before, one of my to 5 destinations include China. Although I have been to Chiang Mai and Hongkong, I would want to visit mainland China. My bestfriend and I would often dream of grabbing Last Minute China Hotels and visiting the Great Wall with our sons. Oh yes, you might find that strange but we are leaving our partners behind. It is something that we promised each other and I am really looking forward to fulfill that dream of ours. Walking the Great Wall of China is something to be treasured and I want to experience it with my bestfriend and our sons.

So, there's my dream Asian destinations.

For me, probably one of the most fun and exciting things to experience when travelling is staying in hotels. It gives me different kind of relaxing atmosphere. It is important to come home to such a relaxing bed and room after a day's worth of travelling and shopping! Glasgow Hotels, Barcelona Hotels, and London Hotels are my top 3 choices of hotels to stay to. My Russian classmate told me that when she stayed in one of the posh Brussels Hotels, she almost did not want to come out of the room and just spend the rest of her vacations inside the hotel.

Surprisingly, according to her, those hotels were relatively affordable and some how cheap. She got all her bookings from easytobook.com. They have a comprehensive worldwide list of hotels sorted according to cities in each country and continent. Also, if you are having a hard time to book online, they have the callcenter agents to attend to you. This is really nice to know especially for my jet-setter readers.

This entry is not about me, this is about a family friend who has been a very successful flight attendant in one of the most famous airlines in the world. I watched her grow up and there never was a day when she mentioned that some she will come to visit Paris. It all happened and she is barely 22 years old. You see, this family friend is a part-time model and it was really easy for her to get in as a flight attendant because of her looks, skills and brains. But one thing that I love about her is her love for her parents.

She has brought them to almost every city in Europe that she has been. They only stay at those cheapt Hotels near London attractions and spent the rest of their money shopping!!!
But, during their last week of Europe tour, she brought them to the posh Hotels in Manchester CBD. I remember how her mom raves about her daughter. It is really in our culture to pay it back to your parents. Usually our 1st paycheck goes to treating out family members or buying them gifts. That's our culture and I hope to pass it on to my son too.

jet love

I love travelling, in fact I am one of the few people who would ride and ride airplanes endlessly just to get to my destination. Really, I am not scared at riding aircrafts and would choose them over bus, trains and ferries. For the longest time, I have been dreaming of riding a jet charter, the private type. Isn't it so exciting to bring your family with you and be transported by a jet charter. They say most of the pilots assigned for these private jet charter flights are the top pilots. Hmmm, sounds even more secured. This will be my wishful thought this week.

Travel Destination #10-NEW ZEALAND

Do you know what the picture above is? It's New Zealand's national icon flightless, KIWI. Now, I know why they call people from New Zealand, Kiwis. That's where they got its name. Anyways, number 10 on my travel destination list is none other than, New Zealand! I used to know New Zealand after the fact that the ratio of cow vs people there is 1 is 2. I don't really know if there is some truth to this until a friend who recently visited New Zealand and stayed a in some posh Auckland Accomodation and Wellington Accomodation told me that this is so untrue.

Apparently, she told me that New Zealand is a tourist place that could be at par with its nearby cities like Sydney. So there, I have checked out some Christchurch Accomodation and
Queenstown Accomodation which looks to me very affordable. When I have the time to visit my friends in Australia, which happens to be travel destination number 1, I would absolutely swingby New Zealand.

Wordless Wednesday #3

My brother sent me a CD of pictures of our last family vacation in Boracay. It was in October 2006 and boy I miss family vacations. Most of all, I miss this place. Here are some of my most loved photos of Boracay. I love everything about this place. I had so many memories with this island.

I really hope hubby and I would have that much-needed vacation and come home soon! Happy WW to everyone!

Before 12 midnight strikes, I officially had a bad day. Boohoo. Life has been really stressful for me lately and all I wanted now is my old life back. I terribly miss the convenience back home. I may sound giving up, not really more of still adjusting with the life we chose. Oh well, some days are bad and some are good. I prayed a whole lot hard that I get over this adjustment stage and have more relaxed days. Oh well, for now, I guess the best thing is to daydream of having some good vacay while relaxing at a Caribbean villa rentals.

Number 8 on my travel destinations is United Kingdom! I would want to see the many historical cities of U.K. such as York and chester and Lincoln and Bath as well as Oxford and Cambridge Universities. My cousin/doctor who used to work in London told me that contrary to popular belief, it is not so expensive to tour United Kingdom. They have the cheap and expensive months such as July and August are expensive months, also those months are very busy, so better not go there during those time. U.K. is also popular for their word-class theatres, art galleries and museums and also beautiful small villages, old cottages with straw roofs, ancient churches and many other greeneries. I really would want to visit this place when we go to Europe, when will that be? That I don't know but of course, I am so ready with a list of united kingdom hotels to stay. I got the list from hotel-uk.com. They claim to be the longest established london hotel internet reservation service. They also cover hotel bookings in England, Scotland and Ireland.

I am so envious. My friend who is based in Europe has yet visited another historical French must-visit places. She emailed me about her experience Calvados from a private gite she share with some family friends. Also they rented a family friendly holiday gites in Normandy and had a wonderful time at a Nievre holiday gites.

My friend who married a french guy has been visiting a lot of quiet places in the European continent most specifically in France and Britain. So far, she said that Normandy has top her must-visit country side of France. It is situated along the coast of France south of the English Channel. She also mentioned that surprisingly the trip were not costly at all. So there you go, I had to add Normandy, France in my travel destination goals.

Best Hotels

I would really really love to go to Australia particulary Melbourne and Sydney. Apart from the reason that I've got around 5 or was it 7 close friends living there and whom I tremendously miss so much, they house some of the best hotels in the world: Sheraton Hotels and Best Western Hotels. Best Western hotel has the world's largest hotel chain all over the world in 80 countries. They have the highest level of facilities and are known for leisurely and business travellers. On the other hand, Sheraton Hotels are Starwood Hotels and Resorts' largest international brand. They are known for adapting cultural attractions and shopping areas. Sheraton has been known eversince and living under their hood makes you feel like next to your home.

Although my friends suggested that we book at any Hilton Hotels or Hyatt Hotels because they offer the same amenities as Sheraton and Western hotels, my heart goes out the latter 2. I wish when the time and money comes for our travelling, my friends are still staying in Australia and they would still welcome and accommodate us.

nice getaway

A friend has asked my help to research on a cheap yet safe and with great location in London. She is going there with her parents for some site seeing, but she's travelling on a budget. It was actually easy because another friend has raved about this Derby Hotel London. It has the perfect location and is very secured. It is a tourist class 3 star hotel located in South Kensington, London. It is also situated midway between Earls Court and Gloucester Road underground stations, quite near to where my friend wants to stay and is very accessible with public transportation. I think she is most likely booking 2 rooms because it is new. She's a bit meticulous when choosing hotels. And I think Derby hotel is just perfect because when she researched on it, the area has the lowest crime rate. She can get paranoid at times. Anyhow, this goes to anyone of you who is planning to go to London too.

You might all be wondering why United States is part of my dream travel destinations where in fact, I am here and I've been to the cities in my title except for New York and Miami. For one thing, when I went to San Francisco and Los Angeles, I only went there with my son. I would love to go there with hubby and show him how much I adored San Francisco and introduce him to my 1st bestfriend (yes, they haven't met in person yet) in Los Angeles. I love San Francisco and has always convinced hubby to settle there. I was lucky enough to have relatives and friends in the 2 cities I have mentioned and so we wouldn't avail of extra accommodations eventhough there are Cheap San Francisco Hotels and Cheap Los Angeles Hotels.
Then, I would really really love to see New York. I felt bad when we cancelled our trip to NY last December. My friends said that I would truly love the hustle and bustle this posh city brings. They even told me that money is not a problem when going there because amidst the preconceived notions, there are actually a lot of Cheap New York City Hotels. Lastly, I would also want to visit my ex-colleague and also my blogging buddy in the lovely city of Miami. My friend, Mia who vacationed there last year totally loved the place and its people. She also mentioned some good Cheap Miami Hotels were we could stay. There you go my travel dream destination cities in United States.

accidentally on Hiatus mode.

Miss me? I do miss blogging here. I was gone for almost a week, the reason? Our server was freaking down. I felt restless the whole time I cannot log in to my dear laptop. I was able to ride with some wifi hotspot which happened to be very very slow and all I could do was check my emails. Good thing because the few times I was online over the weekend, I was delighted by the email that my friend sent me regarding her visit in Indre-et-Loire.

She really had a great time wine tasting in the Loire Valley while she rent a French chateau. Indre-et-Loire is at the west part of France which came from the name of 2 rivers: Indre and Loire. I find it funny because my friend was making me envious with all her pictures from her recent trip. Unfortunately, I was envious bigtime! Like her, I also wanted to visit the countryside of France and not just its posh city of Paris. Uhuh. For now, I need to stop this daydreaming and resume my blogging mode. Happy monday everyone!

We had a sleazy, lazy and boring weekend. Blame it on the very bad bed weather. It was raining for the whole weekend. I was once again glued to my laptop. I was too lazy to blog at that time so I travelled using google. Then I made a list of hotels I wanted to visit and stay, I was entertained. Here are my top 4: Milan Hotels, they say one of the most chic hotels in Europe. I would love to spend some time there while getting some rest after a visit to the Milan Cathedral and the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle II. Milan is renowned as one of the world capitals of designa and fashion. That would be a place for shopping havens!Next on my list are Hotels in Venice. Even though, I visited the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and had a feel of what the gondola rides look like, I would love to ride the real and authentic thing in Venice. Palazzo Contarini del Bolvolo is also a pleasant stop to visit.
The 3rd and last on my list are Barcelona Hotels and Madrid Hotels. Of course, I do not want to miss Spain when I do get to visit Europe with hubby sometime someday. Madrid, being the capital of Spain is the center of culture and history of Spain. On the other hand, Barcelona is the political and economic center of Spain. So there you have it my top 4 hotels must stay in Europe.

Travel Destination #5-GERMANY

At our Mother's day dinner today, I had a chat with hubby's doctors Aunt and Uncles who lived in Germany for more than 25 years. They were practicing surgeon and gynecologist in Germany and have recently moved here in Virginia to spend their retirement years. They have been telling me lots of stories on Germany. I have learned that people there especially the kids are very much disciplined. Hubby's Aunt told me that if we have accepted their offer to celebrate our honeymoon in Berlin Hotels or Frankfurt Hotels, they could have toured us to Berlin's Bradenburg gate or the Reichstag parliament building. She also mentioned that we could have swung by Munich and stayed in Munich Hotels which offer very affordable accommodations.

Also, hubby's Uncle mentioned that for the past years they spent in Cologne, Germany, they have almost stayed in half of the Köln Hotels because it offered the best facilities and relaxation they need. They were also frequent visitors of the Cologne Cathedral.
I wouldn't forget the way they describe the high-speed vehicular traffic in Germany which has a long tradition in Germany given that the first motorway (Autobahn) in the world, the AVUS, and the world's first automobile were developed and built in Germany. They said the Germany has one of the most dense road systems of the world. I used to think of Germany as an anti-tourist country until this very informative mother's day talk with hubby's ex-Germany residents relatives.

It's a lazy and gloomy mother's day here in this part of Virginia. It has been raining since this morning and all hubby, me and our toddler do is laze around in the Bed. I couldn't even put myself to blog, we are certified couch potatoes today. Before we go to a relative's house four our mother's day celebration, let me just share with you a lovely conversation hubby and I had while our toddler was taking his naptime. He kidded my by saying that we should be making our baby #2 this year. I was surprised because coming from him he doesn't want to rush baby #2. I told him though baby #2 will have to wait and should be done in Paris Hotels or London Hotels. I have been constantly reminding him that we should go visit Europe 2 years from now and that's where we are going to have our 2nd honeymoon aka project baby #2.

Then, he was arguing that Birmingham Hotels and Manchester Hotels is where he wants baby #2 to be made. Hahha it was really funny. Then we begun wikipedia-ing places to visit in Manchester and Paris. We came across these awesome photos in Paris the Eiffel tower of course and the must visit places in Manchester. I would really try to convince hubby with that goal of ours, I really need to go to Europe before baby #2 comes out because it will be so hard to live 2 energetic kids to our folks, right? For now, let me just greet every mommy out there a big Happy Mother's day! Hope you all had a great one!
