Soon...

In a couple of months from now, our 4-year old will begin his long hours at the big school. Everyday his school schedule would be 9:00-4:00pm! Although I am excited, I am also starting to miss our time together. I bet, I would be the one who will experience separation anxiety. The little man on the other hand is very excited to meet new friends, make school projects and play as long as he can with the swing sets in his pre-school playground. During his screening interview/exam, he was able to play with other kids and we had a hard time making him leave the playground. Who would be, if you have a nice swing set such as this in your school.

Wordless Wednesday #45

We are all set for the 4th of July trip, well almost. I just got off the phone with the friend whom we are going to meet in DC and we partially planned our Itinerary for the July 4. Parade and Fireworks top our list and some picnic. Hubby was hoping to see some cherry blossoms but obviously, there are no more cherry blossoms. Hmmm, I guess with or without it, the trip would be great :).

Where are you heading this 4th of July?

celebrity destination weddings

I still cannot get over how beautiful destination weddings can be especially the much talkeda about and recent local celebrity wedding. If I had to renew my vows, I would choose any of those destination weddings that exude elegance, similar to those seen at KarismaHotels.com. I had a big traditional wedding and for renewal of vows I want only the closest friends and relatives to be there. I want it to happen on the beach or any other out-of-town location close to my and hubby's heart. I really hope we'd be able to that on our 10th or 15th anniversary :). Wouldn't it be so lovely that our kids get to witness their parents get married all over again.

Wednesday Weirdness.

1. If your boss says, “I would like to talk to you about your internet usage” what would your first reaction be?
:: This actually happened to me before lol! And yes it was nerve-wracking :). I am an obedient employee so I stopped!

2. If your SO asks you “Does this make me look fat?” how do you answer?
:: I will be very honest with him.

3. What is one thing that you pay for, but resent having to do so?
:: At this moment, none really.

4. A day is being created in honor of you. How should we celebrate it?
:: Wear something purple (insert wink!)

5. What CD or Album in your music collection do you secretly enjoy, but would be embarrassed if others heard you grooving to it?
:: Hahahhaha! Secret lol!

6. How long do you think you would last if you were a contestant on Survivor?
:: I think I could last pretty well.

is it time?

And so I thought the economy is stabilizing, I was wrong. Apparently, 2 friends of mine told me this week that layoffs are getting so bad in their part of America. My other friend said that in their company alone, 50 staff are being slashed off every week! Isn't that so bad. On the other hand, my other friend said that it is only know that their state is experiencing all these economic crunch, delayed reaction isn't it? So when an Uncle told us that he might as well sell some of his stocks which he expertly applied some options trading into his investment, we were saddened by his decision because we all know that he'd be selling it in such a low low rate. I really hope the economy stabilizes soon.

Memo from a Child.

I got this from Kathy and the items are very true :). A good reminder for us parents. I hope hubby reads this, he tends to spoil our 4-year old :). I guess all daddies are like that.

And yes, Dear Hubby belated Happy Father's Day!

1. Don't spoil me. I know quite well that I ought not to have all I ask for. I'm only testing you. (hehehe true!)
2. Don't be afraid to be firm with me. I prefer it; it makes me feel more secure.
3. Don't let me form bad habits. I have to rely on you to detect them in the early stages.
4. Don't make me feel smaller than I am. It only makes me behave stupidly "big".
5. Don't correct me in front of others if you can help it. I'll take much more notice if you talk more quietly with me. (I should conscientiously do this)
6. Don't make me feel that my mistakes are sins. It upsets my sense of values.
7. Don't protect me from consequences, I need to learn the painful way sometimes.
8. Don't be upset when I say "I hate you." It isn't you I hate, but your power to thwart me.
9. Don't take too much notice of small ailments, sometimes they get me the attention I need.
10. Don't nag me. If you do, I shall have to protect myself by appearing deaf.
11. Don't make me rash promises. Remember that I feel badly let down when promises are broken.
12. Don't forget that I cannot explain myself as well as I should like. That is why I'm not always very accurate.
13. Don't tax my honesty too much. I am easily frightened into telling lies.
14. Don't be inconsistent. That completely confuses me and makes me lose faith in you.
15. Don't put me off when I ask you questions. If you do you will find that I stop asking and seek my information elsewhere.
16. Don't tell me my fears are silly. They are terribly real and you can do much to re-assure me if you try to understand.
17. Don't ever suggest that you are perfect or infallible. It gives me too great a shock when I discover that you are neither.
18. Don't ever think that it is beneath your dignity to apologize to me. An honest apology makes me feel surprisingly warm to you.
19. Don't forget how quickly I'm growing up. It must be very difficult for you to keep pace with me but try please.
20. Don't forget that I love experimenting. I couldn't get on without it, so please put up with it.
21. Don't forget that I can't thrive without lots of love and understanding from you, but this I don't have to mention, do I?

shoot me.

I tried playing airsoft/paintball and tried a lot of airsoft guns for a couple of times and honestly, I would love to do it again if only we have enough time to pursue our hobbies. Hubby was the one who introduced this game to me when some of his friends are into it too. However, these hobby can be quite expensive if you do not know where to get the most affordable paintball and airsoft gears and guns. Good thing hubby did not get too much addicted on this game but his friends are. In fact, they used to order bulk and bulk airsoft guns at zephyrairsoft.com. If you are into this kind of sport, check out their site for amazing rates.

I Want Wednesday.

This week's question is:
What business do you want to be finished with?
What do you want this week? Share it all.

This week is very hectic. I have accumulated a huge amount of blogging
backlog/tasks and also my finals week. I hope to be able to manage my time so I
could have a good weekend and a full week of vacation :). Not to mention, watch Transformers 2: The Revenge of the Fallen with my boys.

From HERE.

Wordless Wednesday #44

The place is quiet and the people are so friendly.
My son is with here for most of the days but on some days he’s on a summer camp too.

Have a good Wednesday everyone!
Thanks for looking!

want them customized or not?

My experience with Jewelries go all the way when I was in my pre-adolescent years as my mom used to sell some jewelries as part of her other businesses. I was wearing anklets as early as 8! And I would choose these anklets over bracelets. Now, I guess you know why I am into accessories. Anyways, as I grow older, my bestfriend and I became so addictive to jewelries that we meet our favorite jewelers every week to see some of their designs and show some of our chosen designs for customization. It became our weekly BFF meeting :) However, we had to priotize other things in life as we got married and became mothers. Good thing I chanced upon Holsted Jewelers. This site offers affordable but unique jewelries. I think we can give in to our indulges from time to time without making such a big hole in our pockets!

bundles savings

I have not been online most of this weekend and I am proud about this :). You see, I have been savoring my weekend off school because in less than 9 days, I'm back to school again. If only I did not procrastinate on my blog backlogs, you would not find my online today.

Apart from spending quality time with my boys, I have been busy accompanying JR & C for their wedding preparations. Yesterday, C and I have been around Ulta, Sephora and Macy's to check on make-ups and her bridal head dress. Then I helped them decide which Cable, TV, and internet service company they would get for their apartment. I told them about Qwest, Qwest Communications, and Qwest DSL Service. So far, the soon to be married couple find Qwest quite affordable for newlyweds. They are hoping to settle everything before they move. I admire this couple because they would really devote time and resources to their future home over their wedding. I think that is truly admirable.

Okay, that would be all, I hope you are all having a good weekend. We will cap off our Sunday with a last full show of Revenge of the Fallen, can't wait!

Magnify Me.

I was telling a friend whom I will meet in D.C. come 4th of July that I started a strict diet today. You see, this would be our 1st time to meet each other in person and I was kidding her that she would be able to magnify me and my flabby flabs in real life. She told me I made her conscious all the more because I was conscious too lol! Anyhow, it's really true what they say that ones you hit your 30s, metabolism rate can be very slow thus, losing weight can be so hard. I have been reading this phenphedrine review and is very tempted to take the short cut in losing weight, what do you think?

cutting edge nutrition team.

I guess as we grow older and as our lives become busier and more stressful, it is human nature to go back to the basics and take care of our own health. After all, health is wealth :). I always believe in the saying that work hard and play harder. How could one enjoy life's fruits if you do not indulge and stop and smell the roses. I chanced upon livethesource through a friend's blog. Apparently, this livethesource business opportunity is pretty new in the worldwideweb.

Livethesource is not your typical vitamin as this not only give added support to your lack of nutrients but also, help you cope with stressful day to day obligations. These dailysource vitamins help you live the life you deserve. Even though they are pretty new in the market, a good number of people have patronized their products and even joined their livethesource network marketing. Yes, if you are interested to join their network marketing and earn more, check out their site for more information.

tracing your roots.

Have you ever thought of tracing your ancestry dna? If you do, there is this site found at dna-roots.com that could help you find more about your ancestry roots and heritage. It is pretty interesting as they would only get a DNA hint from you and they could trace the history of your family. Flowers or Gifts.

I would often hear women that no matter how expensive gifts are, most of them still feel extra special when they receive flowers especially if flowers come from Oshawa Flower Delivery for special occassions. My hubby never fails to send me Birthday Flowers on my special day. Practically speaking, others would say flowers are just a waste of money but for me, it's the gesture that counts, the feeling of importance and how your men make you feel a woman by giving you flowers.

Oftentimes, hubby would just pass by a flowershop in the neighborhood but when his Aunt had heer 50th birthday celebration, we opted to order bouquet from Lori's Hearts & Flowers. They did not charge any service nor delivery fees and their collections are just amazingly unique. For more information on this flower shop, visit their site at lorisheartsnflowers.com. You’d be surprised how much you’ll save time and money just by ordering flowers online.

environment friendly exit signs.

I think every establishment invest on energy-efficient exit signs. Since they are lighted most of the day and night, an establishment owner should always think about its energy/power consumption. I used to think that all EXIT SIGNS cost very very expensive especially if they had the energy-efficient factor. However, when I chanced upon this Exit Sign from EnergyStar.com, you would be able to shop around some nicely lighted and designed exit signs in such an affordable price.

I also learned that EPA suspended the ENERGY STAR Exit Sign specification effective May 1, 2008. The new EPA act consists of a new standard and minimum federal efficiency standard for all energy-consuming and single-faced exit signs with integral light. Therefore, one is assured that all of their products from January 1, 2006 consist of this new standard and policy which is equivalent to an input power demand of 5 watts or less per face.

It is nice to know that a lot of companies are investing on products that will contribute to saving mother earth. I guess it is never too late to save our only earth if we do our act together. I believe most developed countries have already vowed to promote energy efficient and renewable energy products as their commitment to the climate change protocol which was spearheaded by the United Nations initially in Kyoto, Japan. Climate change is a topic close to my heart as it was my thesis topic back in college. I know that renewable energy and energy efficient products can get very expensive on initial purchase and usage but its long-term effect is worth it. And for as long as many people support these environment-friendly services and products, the rates could go down and eventually, everyone can afford it in the long run. Now is just the right time to act and fight climate change.

It is amazing how convenient life can be because of technology. All things and information can already be found infront of us just by surfing the internet. However, like what my professor always say, not all things found in our laptops and PCs are authentic, real and true because of lack of verification. However, when it comes to buying stuff online, you can find everything in the internet just be patient when looking for the best rates and the best quality supplier. One website which offers a complete listing of medical needs and products is Allegro Medical. They even have knee brace and other orthopaedic needs. Check out their site at AllegroMedical.com for more.

Wordless Wednesday #42

Would you grill on this?
Happy Wednesday!

P5210282

This is just one of the rusty public grillers in the park nearby. I find it really authentic and unique :). Although, I must admit, I wouldn't grill on this and would just have to wait for the cue in the gazeebo griller :). I wish Spring would not be over soon so we would have enough time to visit it as often as we could. I have taken tons of photos already but I have not taken a video using my camcorders of my son and his playmates having fabulous time! You know, they grow up very fast and like any mother, I'd want to capture every little thing about his milestones.
