I gotta move it move it! As if the Characters from Madagascar is telling me to move and be active once again. I have been spending too much time in the bed, hence, I am getting sluggish and sluggish each day. I can't wait for winter to be over, the weather is not helping as well. Even hubby is a bit less active these days. He used to be really active back in the days and would even devote his Saturdays for running and football. Things have changed and we have other responsibilities to take care of.

>>>I found my first job through referral, that's where I took my practicum when I was in 3rd year college and they absorbed me for permanent employment. Second job, I applied. 3rd Job was a blessing because they just called me up, they said they got my contact info from my former college's job bank. I stayed there for almost 7 years :)

2. At what point do you start looking for jobs? Before you need to find a new one, or when you are made to?
>>>I was lucky to never actually look for one, they all landed infront of me. I was offered a job since 18 and stopped only by choice 2 years ago. Next year, I'll start looking for one :).

>>>This time, it would be flexible time because I have a son to attend to. Compensation and benefits must be really good :). The position should be aligned with my career path.

I am glad I did not take up any medical-related courses back in college, although I the salary is lucratively attractive, I guess it isn't my cup of tea. Anyhow, this got me blogging because a friend who is in the medical field told me how tired she can be when it comes to her duties. She feels like she do not have any social life anymore. She gets really tired and all she wants to do on her off days is to rest her back and catch on her sleep. I guess that is the price of this kind of jobs. No wonder they are compensated very well. car for learners (I NEED!)

I love this day, this specific Monday. Contrary to the London news that today will be the most depressing day of the year, (you can Google about that information), I had no low moments except for one which I was quick to shrug it off. I had the best mood today and thus, I was productive too. Let me say that my blogging mojo is back and I am blogging to death again :). On the other hand, hubby who was busy keeping our remaining Christmas ornaments and finally kept and threw our pine tree did some car general cleaning as well. Boy, was our car the dirtiest to boot. It has been weeks since he had the time to clean it off. When he was done and our boy was asleep for a short nap, he talked to me (yet again!) about my driving license test. You see, I have been fearing this task in my to do list. I know how to drive, the basic concept and all but I am not a good and confident driver. Back home, I was really spoilt with drivers and men in my lives (dad, siblings, cousins, friends and boyfriend, now my hubby) who would make sure to drive me to my destination whenever they can. But obviously, from where I am now, that would be kind of impossible. Driving here is a necessity. I just need to gather all my guts, review my wits with those driving test questions and take the test. Then as for the actual test, I think I need to enroll in a refresher course. Speaking of learner's driving permit, I chanced upon this vauxhall insignia car, it is apparently the European's best car of the year! I can't believe the weighing scale when I weighed in this morning. Dang! I gained another 2 lbs! OMG!!! Should I start considering diet pills? I don't know. Hubby has been telling me to cut off with my food intake but I just can't help but munch and binge and munch every single hour. Must be the weather. Anyways, I draw out my health goals and plans for this year and I promised my self to start with it on the 26th, the Chines New Year! I might have been delinquent on following it since the 1st day of the year but at least, with the Chinese New Year coming, I still have another chance to start day 1 of my diet plan boohoo!

Every time I tell people that I feel depressed with my body type, they always (at most) tell me I am fine. Problem is, they do not see my problem areas because I can be so good at hiding them lol! But, after this test, I think I should take it easy on my dieting and avoide crash diets :)

When do you take your holiday decorations and/or your tree down?

My Answer:
Back in my home country, we start putting up the tree as early as September and putting it down around February. I was hoping to be doing the same thing here but it was kinda ackward to put it up as early as September, besides there were no Christmas decorations for sale as early as September. So we had it up a few weeks before Christmas. And since we have a Pine Tree for our Christmas Tree, I was hoping to wait until it turns brown but I guess we have to keep it this weekend just so to be ready for the Chinese New Year on the 26th. According to Feng Shui, it is advisable to clean the house before said date.

The more expensive brands couldn't quite hold her bun!

It's been awhile, I have been delinquent with WS entries for the past 4 weeks. How was your holidays and first 11 days of the Year? Ours was filled with 'surprise'. Anyhow, my girlfriend, C told me that my son is very mechanical and artistic at age 3. When asked why he had to cover thomas and friends with colors and not properly color them, all he could answer was: "Mom that's Arts!"

One of the things that kept me busy the past days is studying hubby's options trading and generally, his stocks investment. We are thinking if it is going to be very practical (with the hard economy these days) to push through with it or just buy it out and cancel it altogether. Do you still remember those days when Friendster used to have thoughtful testimonials? Sadly though, friendster is becoming to be a house of spam and comments. I was (and still is) very careful with adding friends because I only add those whom I personally (or virtually, by this I mean we constantly chat or exchange blog comments) know! I wonder if those people who has more than 700++ friends in their Friendster account really know all the people in their friends list? I find it strange.

Why am I saying this? I just hope this does not happen with blogging. That is why I keep a small circle of blogging friends. I follow only a few bloggers in the blogosphere, except of course the celebrity and more famous blogs. One of the few blogging friends I follow is DEZ who gave me these awards :). Thanks!

I have mentioned before how I have been thinking of ways how it would be easier for me to manage my blogs. So after much-thought, I think streamlining is the key. I have very limited blogging time alloted for this quarter because I am taking 2 subjects at the unic and of course, the homefront duties are still very packed! Winter Quarter

This is my last weekend free from school homework and so tonight we are off to a malling spree and will watch a movie. Tomorrow would be devoted to catching up DVDs with my boys. You see, for the past days I have been thinking about some matters in school. This dilemma took most of my time and I was kinda bothered and overwhelmed at the same time. In the end, I told myself that yes I am going to earn this online university degree no matter what happens and whatever it takes.

And yes, just to add a bit to this, I am also a full-time graduate studies. Some of my courses I took online, some on-campus. I might say that online courses are truly helpful for mothers like me who still want to further her education while maintaining her duties as a mom.

One of my weaknesses is a perfect vision, I missed those days that I could see things clearly even if they are feet away from me. Now, I only see silhouettes if you are about 3 feet away. I refuse to wear eyeglasses nor wear contact lenses because I just would not get comfortble wearing one. However, I notice that as the day goes by and probably because of too much computer usage, my vision are getting worse and worse. Even my old prescription eyeglasses are no longer effective on me. Also, I never really get use to wearning, much more be comfortable with wearing contact lenses. Yes, I have 4 sets of contact lenses but I just end up not using them. Anyways, I heard about pinhole glasses from a friend and she could not help but rave about this product. These pinhole eyeglasses are made for those who have myopia (near-sightedness), hyperopia (long-sightedness), presbyopia, astigmatism, computer vision syndrome and even cataracts. They are said to have cured some of these conditions. It got me really curiosed and I surfed some more. So far, pinhole-glasses.com is the most comprehensive site that I found and could give a complete information on pinhole glasses. In fact, they are also selling such product at a low cost starting from $19.99. I though the product was a bit chunky and hard to carry around but is in fact, very light. Also, this type of glasses is not easily scratched nor is susceptible for marks on lenses. You would be surprised that these glasses are in fact available even before (I just knew about it recently), however it is only now that it has become popular. Kinda Late.

This is my first WS entry for the year and what's the best way to celebrate our 1st weekend is an impromptu dinner at Red Lobster! Okay today officially marks my (REAL) 1st day of diet. No more ifs and buts for the succeeding days hee.

2009 1st sarbey!

Goodness I am so not productive, to think this is the 2nd to last weekend that I am not so busy. I am supposed to be finishing online tasks, filing unfiled docs, cleaning the house, working out etc... and all I end up doing was staring blankly at ASAP and my laptop alternately. Some thoughts are getting my mind occupied so I can't quite concentrate argh! January 1 was almost a perfect day but the past 1st 3 days of this year (including today) were a blur! Whoa! What a challenging way to start my 2009 huh?!? I know tomorrow will be a better day, in fact I declare January 5 as my official 1st day of 2009 hee. Talk about the holidays hang-over.
