Weekend Snapshot #16

There are weekends that you want to spend alone.
All you want is the quietness and solace of your own home and small family.

That was exactly what we did last weekend.
We made excuses so as not to join the clan's get together.

We missed a trip to this beach.
It isn't something to look forward to, so we didn't really miss anything big.

We had a great time in our own little place.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

what caller IDs can't do.

This website is the coolest I've seen today: AnnoyingCallers.com. After all the harassments from persistent telemarketers and sometimes prank callers, here is a website which allows people to easily find and share information about phone numbers used by these annoying callers. I just had a couple this morning and the ring woke me up and hubby. It was too early and of course, you'd pick up the phone knowing it might be an emergency call from relatives or friends but it's not! No matter how much I tell the telemarketer on the other line, he won't stop. I hate slamming the phone when the other end is still speaking, that is just disrespectful. But, I was on the verge on doing that this morning because he was the most persistent telemarketer I have encountered.

Anyways, going back to this awesome website, all you have to do is go to the website for user-submitted reports on any phone number that has been troubling you. Find out who and why these people may be calling you and probably know where they got your number.

the city of lights.

When we went to Las Vegas last year, we missed out on visiting the Madame Tussauds wax museum. We were there only for less than 2 days so we had to make the most out of our schedule. We did not join any Las Vegas tours as my Aunt lives there and she did the touring with her daughter, Yna. I had the best time in Las Vegas but it would have been better if hubby was with me and my son to enjoy the lights, the shows and the people. This year we are planning for a west coast trip and I am so looking forward to going back to Las Vegas. This time with hubby. So everything will be new to me because I get to experience Las Vegas with a partner this time. One of the things that I want us to watch is the Dancing Waters in Bellagio, it always gives me shivers every time I recall how good the show was. Anyways, I need to cut this short and sign up with trusted tours newsletter for more online travel guides. Oh and by the way, you might want to sign up too and have a chance to win a $150 Magellan’s Gift Certificate - Offer ends August 31st, 2008.

Friday Fillins #2

When I'm sick I'm crave for soupy meals.
When I take a walk, I think about my life, in general.
Money can't buy happiness but it can buy my designer bags LOL!.
Cotton makes me clean and leather makes me high!
The strangest person/character I've had lewd thoughts about was a stalker!
My favorite color these days is white because I find the color very classy.
And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to winning an auction hee! tomorrow my plans include malling and Sunday, I want to laze all day in the bed!

Music Inclination.

My son seems to be very interested in the Arts and Music. He has been showing signs of interests on this field. I was surprised to find out that he can recognize songs or sounds even if he only hears the 1st beat. Isn't that amazing? I think I should check on Amadeus Home Music School if they acceptn toddlers.

hump day!

Thursday has always been my hump day.
I always try to clean up my to do list before the week ends.

To start my ball rolling, here are my to dos for today:
  1. Pay bills online.
  2. Check on my auctions at ebay.
  3. Clean up my blogging tasks.

Wordless Wednesday #14

How much fat did I eat this day?
Gosh, all my dieting rebounded toink!
Will I not eat a single food tomorrow just to compensate the carbo and fats I had today...
tsk tsk.

Anyways, Happy Wordless Wednesday to everyone!

Weekend Snapshot #15

His mom is a make-up artist.
His dad is a natural painter. He uses oil pastel on canvass.
His dad's 1st gift to his mom is a painting of a mother and child.
His dad uses fingers to paint.
My son is in love with the arts at age 3.
He would buy more art materials over toys these days.
That wall will be his room's art wall.
It's a work in progress, will update you more on this.
Happy Monday everyone!

Friday Five #1

What’s something really, really stupid you’ve done that could easily have resulted in your own death?
>>>I am not on that level stupidness yet so NONE is my answer hee.

What makes you feel stupid?
>>>When I am ignorant of a certain topic being talked about in a conversation that I am in.

What’s something that’s stupid in a very smart way?
>>>Keep bidding on ebay and then you won the bid, only to find out you've maxed out your cards and your paypal is zero balance. Hehehe there's always your husband's plastic cards you can use. In a way, you'd be saved from the bill as it sometimes end up him paying for your purchases lol!

What’s an example of a stupid idea working out in a way that solved a problem?
>>Breaking rules!

There is apparently a brand of packaged popcorn called Smartfood. What might be found in the package labeled Stupidfood?
>>>Popped popcorn with reheating bag and cheese powder mix.

for her navel.

The moment I saw that butterfly studded navel ring, I thought of my friend, Val. I wouldn't forget the time she got her navel pierced as Mia and I watched her shrieked in pain. Although, you would see the delight on his face whe she saw her navel ring. I may be totally against tattoos and won't have them in my lifetime but with piercings, I think I might give it a try. Where? Probably in the navel too. I would ONLY sport a 5-petal flower body jewelry, when I finally have the guts for a navel piercing.

Friday Fillins #1

1. Dancing to the tune of unwritten while cooking breakfast makes me up and about.
2. The last time I drove I nearly hit the gutter.
3. When I drive I don't look at the side mirrors lol!
4. I saw our neighbor standing outside our patio.
5. Give me a break, give me a break, give me A BREAK!
6. Next week I am looking forward to paying bills ayayay!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to sleeping early, tomorrow my plans include blogging personal updates and Sunday, I want to SKIP THE BEACH gathering and would rather watch some good las vegas shows!

glad to have kept them.

Now the O.C. in me is just paying off. When we moved, I kept all moving boxes in our storage room. Despite hubby's hesitation, I knocked them off and kept them in place, flattened and neat. Yesterday, hubby needs some for our son's old clothes and toys, he's going to donate them to the nearest trift store. I proudly took 3 of the moving boxes from the storage room.

Yay! It's one of the wifey victorious moments when you tell your husband: "I told you so". Hee! I love it when that happens.

TGIF! not...

I have been slacking off with my blogging to dos. I guess I have reached the point that I get all tired with juggling chores and blogging tasks not to mention the endless requests from the 2 boys in my life, hubby and our toddler. One of the things that hubby wants me to research in between household chores, blogging and school are air tools. He needed it for some home projects. Oh well, I guess I should start now before my blogging to dos get all piled up again. sigh.

skin fetish.

I don't know with you but for me, the very 1st thing that I look into a person's physical appearance is their skin. Maybe because I am a make-up artist and have touched several faces that is why I have been very critical on a person's face skin. I find it so disappointing when I see some pretty face all covered up with pimples and worst acne. I wonder why their mothers haven't brought them to a dermatologist for an acne cure. However, people I know who has serious problems on acne said that no matter how they care for their skin, these zits just keep popping out of nowhere. Must be their genes, don't you think?

love for the arts

At a very young age of 3, my son seems to be showing interest on the arts. Whenever we bring him out to a toy store, he would choose art materials over real toys. At home, he has tons of crayons, pentel pens, wonder colors, fingerpaints and other arts what-nots. When he sees some colorful art materials on the tv, he would bugged me and his dad to get him one. In fact, lately he wants us to get him an airbrush! Do you think it's too early for him to be using those?

3X Thursday #1

1. What are your favorite colors?
>>>all shades of purple on all stuff.
>>>bright colors, white and earth colors on shirt
>>>shades of yellow and brown and blues at home

2. What is your favorite kind of clothing to wear? Why? What's your least favorite?
>>>Jeans. I can go from casual to formal.
>>>Least favorite is probably a mini skirt.

3. Do you like to take showers or baths? Why/why not?
>>>Yes, it relaxes me.

Oh and before I forgot, I am just giddy to inform you that we are checking on some cheap disney world tickets for my son's 4th birthday celebration! yey can't wait!

TMA #2 Big Dogs or Little Dogs.

Well, I have had both. A labrador and a toy poodle. Let me say that, although I wanted to keep both, having a big dog is too much maintenance for me. And also, they could get too expensive to rear. I love my poodle and while we do not have our own house with a big lawn, I could settle with a lap dog for that matter . :D

That's My Answer!

can't wait for labor day sale.

I spent the rest of my day today with another worthless online window shopping for my perfect birthday bag as gift for myself. I can be very O.C. on what to get and when I want something (so badly), I couldn't sleep and eat just by thinking about it. I should have it 'right at the moment' I saw it. Tsk tsk bad bad. Anyways, I also did some online window shopping for my toddler and I was meaning to get him these swing sets but our open backyard is also being shared by 3 more other tenants.

If I buy this, do you think our backyard will end up to be the townhome community's official playground?

school girl ME.

I really missed my ex-colleagues. But, what I truly missed about going to that office and being with my closest officemates was our endless parties. The parties organized by the committees were always themed. And they would always come up with unique ideas and themes. I spent the funnest parties in my life with my ex-colleagues. The last party I attended was themed 'back to gradeschool'. I sported this weird school girl costume that I looked like a retarded kiddo with pigtails and a lolly hee. Should I have seen these school girl costumes, I swear I could have purchased this particular (see photo) school girl costume and could have even won the best in costume award. Sigh.

Wordless Wednesday #13

I just had to let my 2 friends posed with the birds on our trip to Cebu 2 years ago.
It was such a funny experience as they were trying to catch the birds.
Obviously, they won't be able to catch them especially when they were laughing so loud.
I miss both of them.
This is for you val & mia.
Happy WW everyone!

help for the small people.

Have you seen this high chair power called Stokke Tripp Trapp?
Well, should I have seen this before when we were in a search for the perfect high chair for my toddler, we could have gotten this. What's nice about this is it can support up to 300 pounds. So, even if your kiddos do not use this anymore, you use it as an adjustable seat of footrest. In order to be seated by adults, all you have to do is remove the footrest and adjust the seat for proper positioning. Also, you can choose as many cushion designs that suit your taste. Check it out now.

monday snag.

I'm feeling a little lazy today. Too bad as it's just the start of the week and I shouldn't be this grumpy. Anyhoo, to start pumping off my week here's a Monday snag from AGGIE.

WHICH IS BETTER for you?

1. Lips or eyes → Eyes.
2. Shorter or taller → Taller
3. Romantic or spontaneous? → Romantic.
4. Nice stomach or arms → Nice arms.
5. Hook-up or relationship? → Serious Relationship
6. Trouble maker or hesitant? -> Hesitant.

HAVE YOU EVER:

7. Drank bubbles? → Yea.
8. Lost glasses/contacts? → Both.
9. Ran away from home? → Nope.
10. Broken someones heart → I think so.
11. Been arrested → Nope.
12. Cried when someone died? - Of course!

not an investor.

When it comes to investments, I am not really the kind who would jump into one. I'd prefer my money kept in the simple savings account or in my wallet (hee). Although I welcome them especially if these advices are coming from my mom, mothers know best right? So when she showed to me this low risk investing by Diamond Bay Investments, I see the need to check on it. They produce a high margin of return with a low margin of risk and a guarantted 12% return rate on high yield first trust deeds and hard money lending systems. Really a good way to save for our retirement. Now, I need to show this to hubby and see what he thinks. If you know anything about this, please let me know.

digital prints.

I am currently helping out a friend getting married this December. She made me in-charged of her giveaways. Since I am having a lazy Monday, I thought of surfing where to get Digital Printing for her wedding give aways labels. I chanced upon Label World and looks like I found the best deal online. I just need to get my friend's approval and we're all set to order.

Manic Monday #1

Is there something you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it?
>>>Oh Yes, travel to Europe. Well budget and time do not permit me from going, soon, I hope.

If you could make any fictional character come to life, which one would it be?
>>>Becky Bloomwood of the shopaholic series, oh my life is perfect!

If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, which store would it be and how long would it take you to spend the $10,000?
>>>JC Penney, because it has everything I need and also the JC Penney here has Sephora in it whee!

Name three things you wanted as a child but never got:
1.) join Ang TV, sagala and other little miss contests (LOL!)
2.) a new set of match dolls and barbie playhouse.
3.) chips as much as I want.

Happy Monday, I hope your Monday is not as manic as mine.

Weekend Snapshot #14

Four Years Ago.
Newly Married.
One Long Weekend.
We hit the Negros Road.
With good friends.
What fun it was.
I surely miss good times.

Saturday Social

Today's Saturday Social Question:
Do you plan on Watching the Olympics?

My Answer:
I would LOVE to watch the Olympics live, really. But of course budget and schedule won't permit me. I missed the Grand opening because I have been very busy and I only watch our local shows. But I won't definitely miss the Grand Closing for the world especially since there are rumors, David Beckham will be there because the torch will be handed to the person where the next Olympics will be held and the next Olympics will be held in London. So, is this true? Let's find out on the closing =)

Wordless Wednesday #12

This was taken in Santa Monica beach, CA.
I instantly got insecured with this pretty girl because of her guts and confidence.
When asked how old she was, she was only 4!!!
brave girl, indeed...

golf handicap software

Have you heard about USGA golf handicap software? My Uncle who loves golf but ain't really good at it is just raving how good this Online golf handicap software is. It could be found at NetHandicap.com. It focuses on providing a Web based online golf service which connects golfers with clubs and enhancing the golf experience. You see my Uncle is a golfer and he gets most of his techniques on how to improve his game here. It also gives reviews on club community features. So, if you are a golfer, check out the site. Like what my Uncle said, it's totally worth your golfing time.

invisibility cloak.

Read this from PerezHilton.com and more from HERE. Apparently, Scientists say that an invisibility cloak is possible. What would you do with an invisibility cloak?

I only have 1 answer, I'd ride airplanes with that invi cloak so I would no longer have to pay high airfares to travel. Also, I don't need any visa whee! But then again, will that invi cloak bypass the gruelling xray machines?

What would you do with that cloak?

Weekend Snapshot #13

This is a photo of my son who was only 2.5 years old at the NAIA airport during our departure in Manila 10 months ago. He wasn't aware that we're moving here for good and he won't be seeing his grannies and nanny on a daily basis anymore. I travelled with him all by myself and it was one of the i-thought-i-couldn't-do-it mommy moments.

He had only little time to adjust as he had no choice but to to adapt easily to his new environment. However, since last week, my mom has been calling us almost every night and my son started to miss them. All he wants is to pack up, ride a plane and visit them.

Soon baby, we will.

Happy WS everyone!

dreaming of a Festina Watch

Almost everyone close to me know how I am overly obsessed with the color purple. Also, I am a big fan of men's watches, or to be more specific big sports watches. In fact, you would find me sporting hubby's watches to his dismay hee. So when I saw that Festina watches has this in purple, I told myself I gotta have one for my 30th birthday. Now, I am really really confused on what to get, a Wii, an LV bag or this Festina watch, tell me?

For straight 5 days, I have been up very early, one of my many goals in life. (babaw!)
You see, for the past 29 years of my life, I was an insomniac but I realized I am more productive in the wee hours of the morning rather than late at night. I end up surfing and chatting at night rather than doing what I really need to accomplish for that night.

I am just happy that I have been disciplined on this part. And yea, I don't sleep at past 11 anymore save for some unavoided circumstances.

Happy 888 and TGIF y'all!!!

It's gonna be a hump day for me!

boating supplies

I have a friend who is saving up for a boat and some boat supplies. He said, he has been eyeing this marine equipment from American Marine supply online store for several months now. I know for sure that once he had that dream boat and to die for marine gears, he's going to invite me and hubby to try it ourselves. Whenever he's with us, all he ever talks about is his love on boating. He even chose to have a house with a lake in the back of his house in order for him to be able to boat as often as he could. I just wish he saves enough soon so he'd get what he's been wishing for.

Wordless Wednesday #11

Wish I was home to eat breakfast with my folks at their beautiful and new breakfast nook.
For the past weeks, I don't have any bouts of homesickie.
Probably, I was too excited with our new townhome.
Now that the excitement has subside, I am allowing myself to feel the emotion of homsickness blues.
I wonder when will this ever stop. Sigh.

Happy WW everyone!

mystery shopping.

When hubby used to work for a multinational company, he managed the business development and customer service departments of the company. While on it, hubby discovered this mystery shopping solutions that provides unique mystery shopping and customer survey programs. He was so amazed that he could gather customer needs not only on paper but online. BestMark.com has been recognized by many companies to be merging the link between creating memorable customer experiences and driving loyalty, advocacy, retention and future sales. Hubby was so convinced with what the site has to offer that the next day he knew of it, he informed his bosses. True enough, the bosses were amazed with BestMark services when they decide to avail of their services.

could I be?

I have long been suspecting that I might be pre_ _ _ _ _?
I have only been delayed for a few days and it's too soon to assume.
However, I notice the change in the volume of my food intake.
Also, my temperament is very short.
Just today, I flared up when my son spilled the water.
He did it intentionally and I just freaked out.
I am not like that to him, I can be very patient.
I am not even stressed today to be even feeling cranky.
Now, I'm feeling all guilty.
Hmmm, could I be?

Weekend Snapshot #12

This is a photo of my husband walking to the entrance of the Precious Moments-inspired chapel located inside the theme park of the inventor of Precious Moments. The reason why I posted this is because, we missed going to the church for several weeks now. Things got so busy that even Sundays are devoted for chores, running errands and catching up with relatives get-together. Hopefully, next Sunday we could free that day and would make time to visit our Church. Have a good week ahead Weekend Snapshot members!

THE LIST.

Hubby and I have great plans and hopefully will materialize next year or early 2010. So, in preparation, we are not buying too many stuff for our townhome. In fact, we are only buying things that we really REALLY need. So far, here's our list:
1.)Treadmill for me.
2.)Sofa Bed.
3.)Queen-sized bed frame.
4.)Comforters and pillows for guests.
5.)Side tableS.
6.)Sofabed and bean bags for the sala.
7.)LCD tv and stereo cabinet.

Hmmm, I think that's about it.
I really really hope that big plan of ours will materialize.
That would be the best decision we will ever make.
