Wordless Wednesday #10

I am against toyguns and my son doesn't have any until we brought him to Mc Donald's last weekend and he got this Happy Meal with Spy toys inside. Ever since, this Spy toygun cum magic pen became his favorite toy. He has never part from it. Should I worry as he has been sleeping with it too? haha! Happy WW Everyone. Mine came in late.

a pause.

Everybody seem to notice that I have been working so hard (and studying too) for the past months except for myself hee. I stayed up last night till around 4:30am because I was catching up some blogging tasks which will be included for this friday's pay, cut-off was today. When I was ready to sleep, I had a hard time sleeping. So, today I am not functioning well. Everything in the house is a mess, I just want to play with my son and laze around. When he had his naptime, I plunged into the tub!!! Oh my goodness, I didn't realize how good it feels to soak in the tub over a warm bubble bath and I didn't realize all these time that my hair has gotten so long!!! I feel like a mermaid in the tub. I think my almost 12 hours of taking a pause in my online world has helped me get back on track again. It was a short pause but very helpful. So I'm back hahaha pressing the enter sign again.

TO DOs

It's 4am and I'm still up and about. I haven't finished half of my blogging tasks and haven't updated my personal blog too. I am starting to feel that having 6 blogs is just too much. But, I am not complaining, I just need to follow strictly the time management hubby planned for me. To start my day later as I will be hitting the sack after this and will be up after 5 hours or so, here are my TO DOs for Monday:

1.) Call the Philippine Embassy in WA and request new forms.
2.) Get Gusi's number.
3.) Blog Blog Blog!
4.) Check on the Ephedrasil Hardcore review that a cousin sent to me.
5.) Message my mom about a bank errand I asked her to do.
6.) Teach my toddler to write 3 and 4 (we're done with 1 and 2)

I think that's about it. It may short but I tell you, I cannot finish all 6 of this. Anyways, I call it a loooong day. Toodles! Ciao!

almost a month old.

We are almost a month old in our townhome. So far so good save for the Delta faucets in the kitchen sink and the powder room that need replacement, other than that we're good. Hubby and I had our biggest achievement to boot, guess what it is? We haven't fought (even in the littlest fights) in the whole month of our stay here. If you know our temperaments (rage-meter hee!), you'd know why this is such a big achievement for us. I guess this house brings so much positive energy on us and hoping our whole stay here be like this--good, fun and steady. Plus, I hope it will bring lotsa moolah too!

featured weekenders!

While I was replying to tons of emails from my ex-officemates, one of which we reminisce about how beautiful our office furniture was, my blogging buddy, ABIE buzzed me and told me we were both featured weekenders at weekendsnapshot.com. Woot woot! I think, we so deserve it as we never missed a weekend without a WS entry since the time we joined! I'm so happy I had to share this moment with Abie because she has been my bestfriend when it comes to blogging whee! Cheers to us sis! Here's to more WS shots!

Weekend Snapshot #11

Guess where this is?
One of my dear friends is getting married in this city of lights come December and I'm hoping to be there.
More than anything, I want hubby and I to spend our christmas and new year's here.
And watch the dancing waters, also a casino jackpot would be a bonus!

I know it is impossible but I am also hoping for 2 miami heat tickets for hubby and me, I am dying to watch a game during the holidays, though I doubt there would be one hee.

Happy WS Everyone!

botox anyone?

I watched Gretchen Barretto in MMK. There have been talks that she had botox on her face similar to those Park Ridge Botox. She denied it of course, but I think there's some truth to it as there's something different from the way she cries and smiles. Anyways, I wouldn't mind getting one when I'm old and grey. They say it is a safe thing to do. In fact I know a friend who had hers done from Lakeview dermatology. One of the a leading dermatology clinics in the Chicago area specializing in laser acne treatment, hair removal treatment, Restylane treatment and other skin care treatments. As for me, I am giving my face all the moisture it needs so I could avoid getting one when I'm old but if I need one, I think I'm gonna give it a try.

How am I today...

TODAY, I:
1.) I feel very guilty for getting mad at my little boy last night because he doesn't want to sleep yet and when he woke up this morning, he asked his dad: "What happened with Mommy last night?", aaaw! Breaks my heart.

2.) I cooked breakfast. Bacon and Eggs for the boys and just cereals for me. I prepare breakfast on weekends only, hubby does the weekdays.

3.) I am blogging like crazy before we hit the mall. Although, my boys left me already, they went to the grocery and will come back to pick me up.

4.) I chatted with my dear friend, Val. We talked about PR in reel and real life LOL!

5.) I'm just feeling grateful Mr. G did not hit on my blogs after hitting on 3 of them the past 3 months haha!

6.) I will workout after this.

back to normal.

Seems like most of my blogging buddies have ceased blogging the past 3 days. Guess why? Because Mr. G hit most of their blogs! After hitting on 3 of my blogs the past 3 months I have learned to just let go of the fact that whatever it is that I am doing will really affect my PR standing. So I therefore conclude to just blog for fun and as long as I have readers of my blogs (and i'm keeping them), I'm fine by it.

Although, it's hard to ignore all these buzz of pageranking when they keep popping out of nowhere. But I realized that the more I mind them the more Mr. G hit on my blogs. So this major update I let go and let God. Guess what, my PR 3 blog was retained and I got 2 PR1s from my previously unranked blogs. I guess it's gonna be alright as long as I keep blogging quality content. But quality is relative. Happy Blogging everyone!

Big rewards..with less effort.

Imagine if I told you there was one thing you could be doing that would literally change your life. One simple 10-minute daily activity that would make you leaner, stronger, cleanse your cells, reduce your stress, boost your immune system, relieve pain, improve sex, tighten your sagging skin (even breasts, ladies!) and actually be fun. What is it? Bouncing! Not just bouncing, but bouncing on the best rebounder on the market, the Cellerciser. It sounds a little too good to be true; but, rebounding is the perfect exercise and the Cellerciser's patented construction gets the most results. Rebounding burns calories - more calories than any other activity - up to 700 calories per hour! Even NASA declared Cellercise "the most efficient and effective exercise yet devised by man" and 68% more efficient than treadmills or other forms of exercise. Surprisingly, the Cellerciser cost much less than the average treadmill. So, let’s see... less money, less time, more fun and more results… I need to buy a Cellerciser!

youngest mother (read from BigEyedNars)

I was so shocked to read this youngest mother from BigEyedNars' blog. I mean a 5 year old could actually be pregnant. This girl, Lina Medina from Peru gave birth to a 2.7 kg baby boy who she named Gerardo, (the name of her doctor). Her son was raised to believe that Lina was his sister but later on found at that she was his mother. Lina died at the age of 40.

Read more about this story at WikiPedia. (and guess what, this is not a hoax! check the site to believe.

Lina Medina (born September 27, 1933) is the youngest confirmed mother in medical history, giving birth at the age of 5 years, 7 months and 21 days. Born in Peru, Lina was brought to a hospital by her parents at the age of 5 years because of increasing abdominal size. She was originally thought to have had a tumor, but her doctors determined she was in her seventh month of pregnancy. Dr. Gerardo Lozada took her to Lima, Peru, prior to the surgery to have other specialists confirm that Lina was in fact pregnant. A month and a half later, on May
14
, 1939, she gave birth to a boy by a caesarean section necessitated by her small pelvis.

no aircon in your cars?

We have been complaining about the escalating gas prices and one way to save on this is to lessen the auto air conditioning usage of your cars. But, will you be able to survive without an aircon in your cars? Not this season, it's just so scorching hot these days. But there are a/c compressor and auto airconditioners that do not take most of your gas consumption, check out: 1airconditioning.com/ for more.

paintball!

When we went to Busch Gardens last Sunday, there was this area there similar to those paintball centers. But, this one is for kids only (I assumed since most of the players were kids) so I dare not try.

I have always been a major fun of paintball and it is something that hubby and I truly enjoy. We can get wild, wet and colored! I always tell hubby that I'd love to have those paintball guns and grab some paintball paraphernalia at pntball.com when we have our own house. Wouldn't it be so nice to have your own paintball gears set-up in your own backyard? Susyal!

Wordless Wednesday #9

This is one of the rare moments that hubby gets off on a longer weekend. We took advantage of it. We were practically out of the house day in and night. Our son was the happiest of us 3. He turned into a Daddy's boy in an instant. I wish hubby gets more off days in the next weeks to come. Happy Wordless Wednesday everyone.

12 words.

It is exactly 12 midnight and I can't sleep.
Here's what I think with these 12 words:

1. Family - my life.
2. Babies - my toddler.
3. Husband – patience, hardwork, selfless.
4. Blogging - therapeutic and moolah!
5. Mother - superwoman and idol!
6. SAHM - challenging role.
7. Christmas - favorite time of the year.
8. Shopping - quality over quantity.
9. Chocolates - keeps me awake!
10. Peace - I have.
11. Dream - BIG.
12. Happiness - is a choice.

payday loans are fast cash.

Times are really hard these days. With the gas prices and all, it's hard to cope with our everyday expenses. We went to the grocery yesterday and we over limit our budget but I tell you the list of things to buy were the same as our previous grocery trips. Could it be that some of the prices of commodities have gone up? No wonder many would turn to Fast Payday Loans, the easiest and fastest solution to this unending economic crisis which no one is spared.

I hope everyone else is doing great out there and let’s all continue to pray that our jobs won’t be affected by this crisis.

agribusiness.

Despite the declining economy, my friend's farm business is booming. I guess the agricultural side of this economy is not affected by the crisis. In fact they recently purchased a ford tonneau cover for their farm. They purchased it from Agri-Cover, Inc's website. This site provides market-leading accessories for pickup or agricultural equipment. They also have agricultural tarps, truck bed covers, and accessory products. They claim to withstand extreme weather conditions. My friend's family vouched on their products and are happy with their new ford tonneau cover. I always dream of having my own farm, I guess having your own piece of land is the best economic security of all.

trying my best...

I swear to high heavens, I am trying my very best to lose weight! In fact, for the past 2 weeks, I haven't eaten a grain of rice. I only take wheat bread with cold cuts and very light dressing and some home made banana muffin and a piece of chicken or pork in a day. But, guess what? My weight haven't changed a bit, in fact I gained again! Oh well, I guess my metabolism's rate is getting slower and slower and the best answer to this is daily exercise!

pearls next to diamonds...

Next to diamonds, I heart freshwater pearls. They make a dull outfit look really impressive. One of the many things I got from my mom is her passion for accessories whether it be diamonds, gold, pearls or semi-precious stones, I have learned to invest on nice pieces at an early age. Before, I used to really splurge on plenty of accessories but now that I have matured, I have been very careful in what to buy. I would only buy a few but I am sure that/that jewelry will lasts several years, even decades for my daughter and granddaughters to appreciate.

collectibles and memorabilias

What are your opinions on Collectibles and Memorabilias? Are they worth your money?

A friend spent her big 3-0 birthday 3 weeks ago. Like I said, I have been neglecting my birthday list and I missed greeting her, lest she was one of my closest friends to boot. A simple belated birthday card wouldn't suffice my negligence. I think she was hurt because she knows that this is not me, I never missed out greeting her on special occassions.

Since she is certified collector of collectible dolls, I am thinking of giving her a couple of dolls I saw from ShopWiki. Although, I am not too convinced about this gift idea because I think there are other more practical things I would be able to give her. Oh well, I still have enough time to think of other things, I have been late, I better make up for it by giving her something really special.

ME time.

I finally gave in and pampered myself today. I let go of all my blogging tasks, household chores, and school homework. I checked myself in the mirror and realized, yea I need to give myself some pampering it deserves. Hubby was kind enough to give me that "ME" time, afterall I have been really hardworking all these past weeks. Here's what I did:
*spent an hour in the bathtub with all the works
*manicured & pedicured
*dyed my hair and soaked it for a good 1 hour with hot-oil
*trimmed my brows
* took a 2 hours nap
*watched Gretchen B. 's"Maalala mo Kaya" (gosh she is so skinny! and looks so young!)

I still have have the whole night for myself but here I am blogging again. I guess old habits are really hard to break hee. Nevertheless, it was the best "ME" time I ever had, better than the shopping sprees hubby usually gives me. Hubby said I should start pampering myself from time to time and that I should give time to research on a home health care agency for a beloved elderly friend.

How's your weekend going so far?

custom fabrication.

My 1st job assignment at my previous employment was for the company's finance and accounting section. Tasks include getting job orders' approval from our different property contacts and suppliers. One of which is the custom fabrication needs of the company. While on it, I chanced upon a premier steel supplier (pwsteel.com) based in Houston, Texas with experience in specialty steel products for the petrochemical, architectural, construction, agriculture, mining and marine industries.

I do not know anything about the technicalities of accounting perse but I sure had fun and gained enough experience and knowledge working for that department. Despite my short stint there, I learned so many stuff with regards to property management and get to talk to a lot of supplier.

if you think...#8 (the last)

IF THE SOCIETY IS UNFAIR TO YOU, WHAT ABOUT HERE?

The last entry for my if you think... series. I wonder how old this woman is. But, if you look closer at her eyes, you could see an innocent smile and some signs of contentment. If we all could laugh off our sufferings and problems, everything else in our lives will go smoothly.

My favorite quote whenever I'm faced with problems: "this too shall pass!"

missing spa massages.

I really miss going to spa. My body is getting sore by the day with tons of homework and blogging tasks. All I need is a good one hour massage to soothe and keep me relax. I would want to try spas similar to M Medical Spa which offers high-quality service, latest state of the art technology to revitalize their skin, add fullness and definition to their lips and face, remove unwanted body hair, eliminate cellulite, shape their body and dramatically reduce the signs of aging -all without any surgical intervention. A friend in GA loves going to a spa in Buckhead , she said she's assured that the one who gives her massages are professional and well-educated on this field. I assume though that the price is sky-rocketing but who says that this kind of service is cheap, anyway.

Weekend Snapshot #10

It's weekend once again. We had a busy weekend last week but this week would be a quiet one. Although, hubby's Aunt promised us to take to some Filipino buffet for tomorrow's lunch, the rest of our weekend will be spent at home. Here are some photos I took during our visit to Busch Gardens last Sunday. It's an amazing place but I would want to visit the other Busch Gardens in Florida, it is said to be much better than ours which is themed as Europe. Happy WS everyone!

find couples.

Sometimes as couples you tend to get bored with repeated activities you do over the weekend, especially for those that do not have kids. In order to grow together, one should share common activities otherwise the relationship will be in shambles and the couple may drift apart. With couples that have kids, weekends seem not to be enough because of the endless household chores. I chanced upon this website where you could find couples and connect with other couples interested in similar activities as yours. TheCoupleSpot.com is an avenue to spend weekend activities with other couples. You can create a profile and search by activities, age, lifestyles in your specific area or location.

infomercials.

I'm fond of TV infomercials especially the Proactiv acne cream which featured Jessica Simpson. Every testimonial that were said by its users were so convincing. In general, infomercials are really convincing you want to purchase their products when the contact numbers and instructions on how to order are being flashed on your tube. I used to purchase from those until I stopped myself before I could get addicted to it.

if you think...#7

IF YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR TRANSPORT SYSTEM, HOW ABOUT THEM?
This is the 2nd to the last of my if you think... series. I've noticed that all photos were taken with Chinese people and set in China (correct me if I am wrong). There is an economic and political prediction that China is the next big America. But, I think that would be hard to believe with all these sufferings and poverty in China that we always see.

With this photo, we should be thankful that at least we still can afford to pump our vehicles with gas despite the escalating price.
Enjoy life how it is and as it comes. Things are worse for others and is a lot better for us.There are many things in your life that will catch your eye but only a few will catch your heart....pursue those...

Wordless Wednesday #8

Like I said, Hubby is off for 2 days. We are making the most out of his off days. Part of our agenda is bring our toddler to Virginia War Museum. At 3, he is a big fan of tanks, helicopters and airplanes. You should see how his eyes lit when he saw this old tanks! Happy WW everyone!

Jean Claude Picot and more

Jean Claude Picot and Park West Gallery is the home to the largest collection of fine art in the world, Park West Gallery conducts fine art auctions throughout the United States and Canada. Their affiliate company, Park West at Sea, conducts cruise ship art auctions around the world. Hubby is a certified art lover and he will surely love this. I wish it doesn't cost that much to watch the auctions and I hope they allow people to watch even if we are not bidding. Hmmm, let's see, I'll research on this later but for now we're off to some local art museums.

if you think...#6

IF YOU THINK YOU SUFFER IN LIFE, DO YOU THINK YOU SUFFER AS MUCH AS HE DOES?
2 more and I'm done with my if you think... series. Isn't this picture such an inspiration? So the next time we all whine, complain and rant, let's remember this photo. I'm running a quick entry, hubby is off and we're making the most of his off days. Ciao, later!

business checking account.

There is a big difference between getting a business checking account and a personal checking account. When this friend of mine decided to open up her own business, because she thinks that she won't be able to retire early if she keeps reporting to her day job which got her earning a very menial pay only, she does not know the big difference of business and personal accounts. She seeks the help of NorthernTrust.com to provide her with the right information before she made the big switch. Thus, was enlightened by the information given to her. You know this friend of mine always has this special relationships with her personal bankers, she makes sure to always get financial advices from professional and educated bankers only. She is the type of person who works hard now (read: up to 3 jobs and many other business rackets) so she could retire early and enjoy the fruits of her labor. I look up to her on this part although I was telling her that she should take some time for vacation and probably just a big break from her busy schedule.

if you think...#5

IF YOU FEEL LIKE GIVING UP, THINK OF THIS MAN.

It is always easy for us to say we are giving up but for people like this man, he has no choice but keep going. Or the more people are handicapped the more they have the determination and willpower to keep going. I chanced upon this website: http://www.thedontquitpoem.com/ which I listen and check on everytime I encounter hardships in my life. But still, the best way to keep on going and stay on the right track is to Pray!

Happy Monday Everyone!

Weekend Snapshot #9

This is a photo that hubby took last year during his visit to Yorktown with his cousins. It was one of the happy family weekends getaway. I wasn't at the country yet which explains why I am not in the picture. I posted this particular photo because since we moved almost 2 weeks ago, we have not been seeing the clan. Every weekend, hubby has to report to work and I guess the clan were too busy to organize a gathering too. I miss them. My son misses them more. Especially since one these kids is moving somewhere in a couple of months to attend his college. I hope we could all catch up soon. Happy WS to everyone!

the word is getting around.

After a friend of mine has seen the Incredible Stylish New Frames From Zenni and my blog entry on Zenni Optical was on FOX news! She got herself that cute red Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses! I think Zenni is doing really good in terms of selling glasses online. Other than coming out really cheaper compared to glasses sold on store, it is more convenient to purchase these glasses online.

if you think...#4

After that quick lunch-out we had, I am supposed to be studying today and completing my homework due tomorrow. However, I spent most of the afternoon helping out hubby's Aunt trying to figure out what her mortgage lenders was asking from her. We came up with this formal letter seeking clarifications. I'm glad were done with it, I can now proceed to the completion of my homework. But first, here's the 4th of my if you think... series. I'm halfway done as there are 4 more left.

No matter how hard my course is now, I will stop whining for this kid's sake. I will. I promise. To the rest of the kiddos, don't cut classes and don't waste time. Be inspired by her.

IF YOU THINK STUDY IS A BURDEN, HOW ABOUT HER?

in SHAMe-bles.

I used to be a really big fan of Oprah. I remembered staying late just to be able to catch the replays of her talkshow. Until Ellen and Tyra came, I find their shows more adept to my age and so I stopped watching Oprah. My mom forwarded this email to me and I was shocked to find out that among other Oprah issues, this one has gotten out of proportion and I really cannot picture how Oprah will react to this. No wonder, her talkshow ratings are declining. Uh-oh looks like someone needs to retire sooner than expected or I think she should reinvent herself.

IF YOU THINK, YOU DON'T HAVE MANY FRIENDS...?

To end this week, here's my 3rd if you think... entry. I never felt inadequate of friends, I have always been blessed with loyal and beautiful friends. Although 2 of them have betrayed me and I don't know why up to now what I did to them for me to deserve what they did. I have learned to move on and forget about them, also forgave them for what they did. After all these years, more true friends came to my life.

However, for the past days, I am quite bothered with a friend. Everything in her life seems to be in shambles. Her once very sexy body looks like a body of a 40 year-old with 6 kids and she hasn't given birth yet. She is evern contemplating on taking Phentermine for desperate measures. Also, her finances are falling down and worst she doesn't have a job. For once, I don't have answers to a very confused friend, I always have the right words for a friend confiding in me, but this particular friend, her life must be too complicated that I cannot comprehend. Thus, I am not helping her. I guess for now, all I must do is pray for her and continue listening to her woes and rants. God Bless Her.

(my entry is so blah, I am extremely bothered with her current state.)

mark my word.

Okay, so the Wii that we have been waiting for more than half a year now, never came. I mean I don't want to put pressure on anyone here but if you promised, keep it and don't even pretend you were having problems sending them. Yadda yadda yadda! Kid me huh?! Now, I truly know you tsk tsk. Lest, promises made to a toddler is a crime for me. You are not his dad, you don't have one word. Now, my goal for my birthday (which is 2 months away from now, oh no!) is to give myself and my son a reward for all our waiting for that controversial Wii! haha! I am getting one in September and I have told Hubby many times. My son loves Nintendo Wii when we tried it during our vacation in California last year. Eversince, he was begging me to get him one. Instead, Hubby bought him an Xbox 360 which he bought from ShopWiki. We didn't like it or shall I say, 360 is way way too advance for my son and way way too difficult for me to comprehend.

As early as now I am shopping for Nintendo Wii at ShopWiki and checking out the best deals. I actually saw one seller with the cheapest price and guess what?! Shipping is free! I just hope that by September, the price is still the same. Until then, we will have to settle with what we have here, Xbox 360 that is!

randomness meme #8

I (with hubby!) just solved 6 problems of management science model and it's 4:30am!!! We did it for 5 frikkin hours! I am wondering if I'll wait for the sun to shine or hit the sack. I am so energized now, but I know I'll turn up to be really cranky later which is not a good thing for my son. Anyways, to divert my mood so I could be a little less energized, here's answering randomness...feed your mind and your blog 1st ever meme when they started the blog in July 2005 and it's about Summer Love!

FROM THIS VIEW

...and yes I'm missing 967 and so does my toddler. But, life goes on. Happy WW everyone!

checklist.

Since we moved, it is only now that we realize there are still some things we need to buy especially in the kitchen and dining area of our townhome. Hubby was quick enough to tell me to surf on them and canvass the prices at ShopWiki especially since kitchen tools prices nowadays can get so high.

You see, we did make a checklist before moving in and the 1st thing hubby made sure to complete was cooking needs. But I guess our checklist wasn't complete after all. You will only realize you have something missing when you are on it, cooking that is. So, since I do most of the cooking, I made out this long list for ShopWiki shopping! I hope I find good deals though. We are on a very limited budget. Moving can be so expensive you know.

Blowfish Shoes blew my Mind.

What I look for in a shoe is not the brand, more of the comfort and durability it gives. When I became a mom, I have learned to love flats and sneakers. I was happy to know that Blowfish Shoes provide flats that are still very fashionable and in plenty of colors and designs. Surprisingly, the prices are very affordable considering that their designers are designers from Esprit, Rocket Dog, Sam&Libby, Aerosoles and David Aaron. Aside from their online shop, they offer their shoes in plenty of stores such as Macy's.

I was surfing on some flats and sandals while my son was taking his nap and found a lot of to die for Blowfish Women's Shoes and Blowfish Designer Shoes!!! Oh my oh my, I was diverted at shopping boots instead. Their boots are definitely in my must-have list for winter! Their designs vary from spunky, classic and feminine.

To all shoeholics out there, the site is worth your time, feet and money. I can't wait to own my 1st Blowfish shoe. Who says you couldn't mix fashion with comfort, lest, wearing flat boots, flat pumps and flat sandals are the in-things now.

IF YOU THINK YOUR SALARY IS LOW, WHAT ABOUT HIM?

I am a self-confessed whiny person. I could throw complaints in an instant and it won't end. This, I am trying to change especially for my hubby's sake LOL! I guess it's human nature to never get satisfied with what we have, but what about children like him who learn to earn as early as 5? What does living means to him? Does he has time to complain?

Let's all think about this picture everytime we try to meet both ends.

if you think... #1

I am starting this series of entries which makes us realize how blessed we are. My mom has forwarded this email to me, which was voted us the best forwarded email of the year. I will try my best to post 1 per day or at least 3 per week until I finished the whole thing.

IF YOU THINK YOU ARE UNHAPPY, THINK ABOUT THEM.

Sometimes, we tend to focus on what's lacking of us and not what we have. Come to think of it, we are blessed to know internet and its usage, to be educated and have even a meager-earning job or sometimes jobs. I know we all have bad days but at the end of the day, happiness is our choice, we choose what we want to be and we feel what we want to feel. If you are ever thinking that your lacking of something or simply unhappy, remember this photo. Happy Monday!

Weekend Snapshot #8

July 2 was our move-in date to our new townhome and the whole weekend was spent fixing left-over unloaded luggages and boxes. While hubby and I were busy with unpacking and more, the little one was enjoying his 1st weekend in his bigger playroom and has been all over the house testing all the faucets and flushes. We had a quiet but truly happier weekend, in celebration of our privacy as a family. Hope you all had a good weekend. Happy WS to everyone!

the aftermath of 4th of July.

While having coffee and chicken macaroni soup with my husband this morning, we were talking about all the retrenchments that America is facing right now. American Airlines cut-off about 900 flight attendants and so does Starbucks and many other big companies. A close relative has been faced with this kind of situation too and he really feels very devastated about it. I remembered the movie "Fun with Dick & Jane" where the couple Dick&Jane Harper resorted to extreme measures to gain back their income. Though, there are still a lot of ways to cover up the bills for a couple of months, such as the No Fax Payday Loan. This friend of mine resorted to PaydayLoansABC.com which brought him the convenience of having cash instantly and secretly. All you have to do is apply online at http://www.paydayloansabc.com/ anywhere, anytime. You don't need to submit any documents and the processing time is as fast as ordering your 3-minute burger. Payday Loans ABC can be found placed in proud ranking on many of the Internet’s most respected directories and resources for payday cash advances. More importantly, despite all these resources we should always learn to save for the rainy days.

children's book hunt

We are still unsure if we are going to send our 3.2-yr old boy to big school this coming school year. I wanted to have more time with him because as I look for a fulltime job next year, I won't be there for him 24/7. I am thinking though of sending him to playgyms were I could also be with him while he attends classes. Although, he has been showing signs of school readiness as he gets tired easily with toys and spends so much time with books and writing and coloring books. He is running out of educational materials and I am on a hunt for some children's books at Amazon books as I always find cheap finds in that site. Hubby and I are hoping for some final school decision by end of this month, for now, I shall buy him plenty of books and a blackboard for me to use as his educational tools and prepare him for big school.

the 4th, my 1st!

Yesterday was my very 1st to experience 4th of July aka America's Birthday. It's my 9th month in the country and despite some homesickness moments, I am loving my stay here. Hubby and I woke up early yesterday to try on some new dishes while our toddler is still asleep. He made some yummy seafood dishes while I whipped some pastries. We didn't go out save for some emergency groceries and snacks at ihop! We wanted it to be a quiet one as we were tad tired from the moving we did 3 days ago. Only to find out there were 2 more boxes left to unload haha, so we finished unpacking and cleaned the storage in thebackyard shed. In the afternoon, some family members came to visit us and brought some pancit and pizza. We were dead tired by 8pm. Before hitting the sack, hubby finished the A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life's Purpose book which was my birthday gift for him in February. He only finished the book yesterday, blame it to his very toxic schedule while me and our toddler finished a couple of DVDs. By 11:3o pm, I was awakened by fireworks display, I just peeped for a few minutes in the window and was back online. I remembered I need to finish some online class homework and was cramming till 1am.

It was a quiet and simple 4th of July celebration but was for me, a memorable one. Because any 1sts are always what retain in our memory lane, right? How about you, how was your 4th of July? Hope you all have a good weekend!

where in Panama?

Remember my Russian classmate whose husband treated her over a European tour? Well, she was raving to me about Panama City vacation rentals when I bumped into her during the enrollment. Apparently, she is trying to help promote WeNeedaVacation.com. Looks to me a very reliable site which offers travel enthusiasts tools to create, plan, and save vacations. This site is for family trips as they offer vacation rentals properties. They even have a video in the site that showcase the listings of vacation rental properties. I wish we had the budget for travelling as my son's age is appropriate for travelling and will appreciate the sceneries as well.

chika no more.

I am a frequent visitor of gossip and celebrity blogs. I am amused by them. They sure help keep me out of my homesick moments because they keep me entertained. However, one of the gossip sites that I frequent is off the air now. Although, I anticipated this because they were really hitting it below the belt while keeping their anonymity. Apparently, one of the celebrities they singled out on is currently threatening them with something really scary and thus, the expert on gossips calls her the bully. Uh-oh, I smell intrigues and war! For now, aabangan ko na lang ang susunod na kabanata!

uh-oh...

Looks like one of our couple friends are on the rocks. I wonder why our generation has a lot of relationships breakouts, read: divorce or simply separation. It's sad because the kids are mostly affected but would they rather live in a chaotic home or rather live with one parent for some days and the other on another days. Quite a choice tsk tsk. Here's something to ponder on which I snagged from this: Top Signs You Have Fallen out of Love:

1. Intuition. Often before you exhibit any of the other behaviors that I will
list, there is just an unexplainable nagging feeling inside of you that
questions your love for your partner. You may try to rationalize it, saying that
it must be that you’re “comfortable”, but deep inside, you already know that
quite a bit of love for your significant other has faded.

2. Loss of respect for your partner. While you were once proud and impressed by your partner’s stellar golfing skills and ability to prepare a breathtaking
presentation 2 hours before work, you just don’t think all of this is that great
anymore. You aren’t awed, and you no longer actively seek (or even like) your
partner’s opinions.

3. Not looking forward to your partner coming home from work. Better yet, you also aren’t excited by alone time, special trips, or plans. You would much rather spend a night out with the girls or even home alone with a tin of Bon Bons than be anywhere with your significant other.

4. Just not caring. It is said that the opposite of love is indifference rather
than hate, and this couldn’t be any closer to the truth. When you fall out of
love, you reach a stage where you are no longer are interested in or concerned
about anything that is going on with your relationship. You don’t feel like
making the effort to “spice things up” or discuss differences, because you have
lost all passion and zeal.

online travel agent

I miss chatting with my friends online. For the past 3 weeks, I haven't been logging on or sometimes my status is invisible. I've been really busy lately. Then I logged on today just to catch up with what they were doing. I was happy to know that a friend went to Fiji, her dream travel destination. She had this very great travel deal which she got from online travel agent through TravelStore, Inc.. This site brings travelers TravelStoreUSA.com and Cruiselocators.com, websites that allow vacationers to book luxury vacations to destinations around the world. I am just excited to see her photos.

more updates in a little while...

Yes I will...
I'm just so happy to be at 372-D!!!

Yes we have moved and have finished unpacking everything too.
I promise to be back with more updates here and also in my other personal blogs.

But for now, let me leave with something really scary which news I got from the maintenance supervisor. I was asking him when he visited our unit if there were other kids in the neighborhood same as my toddler, he said older but there is this one girl in the last unit that is the same age as my son but...

Yes there is a but, he warned me not to let my son play with her because the parents are always hitting booze!!!

Okay now, we'll stay away with her. Pity the little girl, though.
